thomas m. ryan
chief executive officer

A co-founder of ICR, Tom lends his expertise to servicing clients in the restaurant & leisure, e-commerce and gaming industries. Before co-founding ICR, Tom served as managing director in the equity research department of BT Alex. Brown (Deutsche Bank). He possesses seven years experience as a senior equity analyst following the leisure and location based entertainment sectors. Coverage included gaming, ski resorts, cruise lines, health clubs, motor sports and golf club, ski, snowboard and bike manufacturers. Tom published numerous industry and company-specific reports and participated as lead or co-manager on several billion dollars worth of investment banking transactions, including bank, high yield, equity and M&A. He has extensive domestic and international buy-side and media relationships. Tom has often been quoted in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Investor's Business Daily, International Herald Tribune and the Wall Street Transcript. He has been a featured expert on CNNfn, CNBC, Money Talk (PBS), WNYC TV and Bloomberg Television, and was named a 1995 Wall Street Journal All-Star for stock picks. Tom received a B.A. in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross and an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University.

don duffy
president

Don is the president of ICR and has been with ICR since 2001. Don co-heads ICR’s shareholder activism and transaction practice, and has worked on over $100 billion in IPOs. His industry focus includes gaming, food/foodservice, payments/exchanges, and other related sectors. He has over 12 years experience as a portfolio manager and research analyst specializing in public and private investments in the leisure, technology and healthcare markets. Prior to joining ICR, Don co-founded Meyer, Duffy & Associates and Meyer Duffy Ventures, and served as a senior vice president of Oak Hall Capital Advisors, an asset management firm. He also served as a senior research analyst and general partner at Sloate, Weisman, Murray & Company/Amadeus Capital. Don has served on three public boards, and has chaired audit, compensation and special committees. Don received a B.A. in Finance from St. John's University.

principal

James joined ICR in 2000 and currently focuses on the defense and homeland security industries as well as soft-good manufacturing. James joined ICR after seven years as an analyst in the apparel and footwear manufacturing and specialty retailing sectors. After serving for four years on a top-ranked Institutional Investor team at Salomon Smith Barney, James served as senior vice president and analyst for Ladenburg Thalmann and Needham & Co. His investment banking experience includes lead-managed IPO's, secondary offerings, private financings, and advisory services on M&A activity. James is the author of "YouthQuake, The New Consumerism," a widely read treatise on the impact of consumption patterns of the youth market on brand management and specialty retailing. He has been recognized in the Wall Street Journal, Investors Business Daily, The Economist, Time, Women's Wear Daily, DNR and other publications. James received a B.A. degree in Literature from the George Washington University.

Michael Fox
President, Corporate Communication Group

Michael joined ICR in 2002. He is responsible for helping companies define, build and protect their corporate reputations through communications programs that engage with the media, employees, customers/consumers, policy makers and opinion formers. Prior to joining ICR, Michael was group director of the U.S. Corporate Communications Practice for Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide where he was responsible for all corporate branding, employee communications, crisis and issues management and investor relations. Michael ran the global account for BP, the world's second largest energy company, for more than three years. His team's work re-branding efforts for BP following its acquisitions of Amoco and ARCO was recognized by PR Week as ?one of the 20 Best PR Campaigns of all time?. For Deloitte & Touche, Michael led the communications effort in the wake of the Enron/Andersen debacle, successfully positioning Deloitte & Touche through an aggressive executive visibility program. At McKesson, Michael helped lead the crisis team in response to an accounting restatement that resulted in a one-day, $500 million drop in market cap. Prior to beginning his career in corporate communications, Michael spent eight years working for a member of Congress and running political campaigns. Michael is a graduate of Hobart College with a B.A. in Political Science.

Joseph Teklits
SENIOR Managing Director

Joe joined ICR in 2006 and focuses on the retail & apparel sector. Since joining ICR, Joe has worked on a number of IPOs including J.Crew, lululemon, rue21, Town Sports International, and Golfsmith; and he co-heads a group within ICR that works with more than 60 consumer companies. Prior to joining ICR, Joe spent ten years on Wall Street as a research analyst covering primarily retailers and apparel & footwear companies. From 2001 to 2006, he was a Managing Director and Senior Retail Analyst at Wachovia Securities where he led a team of five and covered over 30 stocks. During Joe's tenure, Wachovia underwrote equity offerings for Aeropostale, Under Armour, Zumiez, Volcom, New York & Co., Charlotte Russe, and Citi Trends. Joe was also a four-time Wall Street Journal All-Star Analyst.
