ICR, one of the most highly-regarded Capital Markets Advisory and Strategic Communications firms, is seeking a highly motivated professional to fill a mid-level, Investor Relations Vice President position on our fast-growing Global Media, Sports & Entertainment (GMSE) team.

The GMSE team covers a wide range of companies in the media, digital media, internet, advertising, content / digital content and sports and entertainment industries. The group also covers emerging metaverse / blockchain clients, particularly in the gaming space.

The VP works directly with our SVPs, Managing Directors and Partners in the execution of client IR programs and assists in prospecting new clients. The position has meaningful opportunity for growth over time.

Responsibilities include:

  • Constant client-facing meetings and interactions
  • Strategic advisory based on an understanding of the investor / asset management and sell-side audiences
  • Developing and managing strong relationships with clients’ senior management teams
  • Creating and preparing key messages and supporting investor presentation materials for senior management
  • Interacting with senior company executives to prepare for quarterly earnings calls, including drafting earnings releases, conference call scripts, management Q&A preparation and investor feedback
  • Developing company’s marketing materials, including corporate press releases, letters to shareholders, investor fact sheets and IR website content
  • Developing and managing relationships with current key analysts and institutional investors; building new relationships with potential analysts and institutional investors
  • Tracking and reporting on clients’ competitors / peer business developments and financial results
  • Preparing reports and analysis for client outlining investor feedback, financial results, stock price performance and changes to institutional shareholder base
  • Developing and managing timeline for investor conferences, non-deal roadshows and other major strategic events
  • Building and maintaining strong teamwork with our key members of the group including the team leader
  • Assisting with business development initiatives

Job Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a minimum one to two years of Investment Banking or Equity Research experience
  • Additionally, the successful candidate should have a strong understanding of the capital markets
  • Good working knowledge of analyst modeling and able to complete pro forma models
  • Familiarity with creating and analyzing company marketing materials
  • Experience with company due diligence collection
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Mastery of Excel, Word and PowerPoint a must
  • Excellent interpersonal & verbal / written communication skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • Able to work independently and complete projects with limited supervision
  • Great team player; able to work in cross-cultural / cross-functional teams
  • A strong working knowledge of Media and Entertainment sectors is preferred
