Eric Becker joins ICR as Senior Vice President in the PR Consumer Group with a focus on Media & Entertainment. Becker will develop and oversee strategic public relations activities for ICR’s growing client base, including pay TV and streaming companies, key technology enablers, and content creators, and work on other clients in the broader consumer space.
Becker joins ICR after serving as Principal, for Becker PR, his solo PR agency proprietorship where he provided strategic communications and PR services, primarily in the Media & Entertainment space. Becker served as acting head of communications for an array of start-up and high-growth clients in the pay TV, streaming and programming area, as well as providing strategic PR counsel to several high-tech start-ups.
Before founding Becker PR, Eric had an 18-year run at Starz, rising up to SVP, Corporate Communications where he oversaw strategic media relations and worldwide public relations. Becker managed executive communications, including earnings call preparation. Early in his career, Becker was an associate at GBSM, a Denver-based boutique PR agency.
Becker currently serves as a founding member and PR/Communications chair for the Media+Tech Collective, 501c(6) non-profit, open industry association that is dedicated to bringing together members from throughout the businesses of video entertainment and technology.
