Michael joined ICR as a Managing Director following 16 years in equity research on the sell side exclusively covering financial services – at Sandler O’Neill + Partners, The Buckingham Research Group, Putnam Lovell NBF Securities, and Banc of America Securities – providing fundamental and data-driven research to institutional investors.
During his equity research career, Michael was recognized by Institutional Investor, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Stamine, and has appeared in print, online, and on television on CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and Bloomberg. He also brings capital markets advisory experience across IPOs, de-SPACs, secondary offerings, and M&A transactions.
With a deep and broad understanding of the financial services landscape including FinTech, mortgage lending, specialty finance, banking, alternative asset management, and brokerage industries, as well as differentiated strategic/financial competitive analysis, Michael and his team can provide strategic and targeted services designed to enhance/reframe the prevailing narrative with the investment community.
Michael graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.S. in Business Administration.
