Michael joined ICR as a Senior Vice President following 16 years in equity research on the sell side exclusively covering traditional and alternative asset managers – at Sandler O’Neill + Partners, The Buckingham Research Group, Putnam Lovell NBF Securities, and Banc of America Securities – providing fundamental and data-driven research to institutional investors.
During his equity research career, Michael was recognized by Institutional Investor, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Stamine, and has appeared in print, online, and on television on CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and Bloomberg. He also brings capital markets advisory experience across IPOs, secondary offerings, and M&A transactions.
More recently, Michael provided Investor Relations consulting services to public companies focused on strategic messaging, financial reporting/disclosures, peer benchmarking, and thematic research across key industry trends including asset allocation trends, investment performance/returns, distribution/technology, the shifting regulatory environment, the economics of the business, and M&A.
With a deep understanding of the asset management industry, banks, and the competitive landscape, as well as differentiated strategic/financial competitive analysis and analytics, Michael and his team can provide strategic and targeted services designed to enhance/reframe the prevailing narrative with the investment community.
Michael graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.S. in Business Administration.
