Michael has spent more than 30 years advising global companies, promising startups, private equity firms and their portfolio companies, non-profit organizations and political candidates across the full spectrum of strategic communications activities. Since joining ICR in 2002, he has supported hundreds of management teams and boards through IPOs, corporate transformations, M&A transactions, proxy contests, and countless crises and special situation events. He has helped raise awareness, enhance value and protect long-term corporate reputation for industry leaders, including McKesson, BP, Armor Holdings, Pepsico, Deloitte, Bloomin’ Brands, Abbott Labs, Intel and many more. 

Prior to joining ICR, Michael was head of the Corporate Practice in North America for Ogilvy PR. He began his career in politics, spending six years on Capitol Hill and running campaigns at the local, state and national levels.

Working across all of ICR’s sectors and services, Michael helps unify the firm’s vast capabilities to support each client’s needs, no matter their situation or market.

Michael enjoys family time with his three active sons, traveling anywhere and everywhere he has the chance, and sharpening his guitar skills.
