Appointment of Catherine London as President of Consilium Strategic Communications US Inc
LONDON, UK; 3 April 2019 – Consilium Strategic Communications, a global leader in strategic healthcare communications, is pleased to announce that it has opened a US subsidiary and appointed Catherine London as President of Consilium Strategic Communications US Inc (CSC US Inc) to lead the expansion of its global offering into the United States.
CSC US Inc,’s staff will be based in Connecticut, within easy reach of healthcare and financial centres in the Boston and New York areas. The newly formed subsidiary will expand its client base within the US and aims to support Consilium’s current European and global healthcare clients with US media management, strategic communications, financial communications, advocacy relations and transaction support.
Catherine London has more than 23 years of global pharmaceutical and biotechnology experience working with a broad range of start ups and Fortune 100 and 500 companies. Prior to joining Consilium, Catherine served as an Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations at Bioasis Technologies, Inc. Catherine previously held senior roles in corporate and product communications at companies including Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc., among others. Her expertise includes executive, corporate, scientific and financial communications, investor relations, public affairs, government and policy communications and business communications. Catherine has also held senior leadership roles at global consulting firms such as Resolute, Ruder Finn and the Chandler Chicco Companies, an inVentiv Health Company, which includes Chamberlain, Chandler Chicco and BioSector 2.
Catherine began her career as a journalist working as a reporter and editor at print and broadcast outlets covering US markets before taking a role as a science journal editor. Catherine then transitioned to public affairs at the American Diabetes Association. Catherine has a BA in Journalism from Auburn University.
Consilium Strategic Communications was launched in 2013 and now has a team of approximately 30 staff in Europe covering investor relations and financial public relations for the healthcare sector with headquarters in London.
