ICR Capital Announces Record Year for Transaction Advisory

Advises on more than 65 IPOs, Direct Listings, SPACs, Follow-Ons and other transactions valued at more than $75 Billion

Broad Sector Exposure with Leading Market Share in Technology and Healthcare

Continues to Expand Team with Industry Veterans

NEW YORK (December 11, 2020) – ICR Capital, an equity capital markets advisory firm and affiliate of ICR, one of the world’s largest strategic communications agencies, today announced that it has advised on more than 65 equity capital markets transactions thus far in 2020, with a total value in excess of $75 billion. Transactions have included traditional IPOs, follow-ons, direct listings and SPACs for companies across industries, including a dominant share in technology and healthcare, with its Westwicke-branded healthcare group.

In its advisory capacity, ICR Capital’s team of equity capital markets professionals continued to assist private and public companies as well as financial sponsors with independent and objective counsel.

“While ICR has always been the leading communications advisor to companies as they enter the public markets, we have seen significant growth in our capital markets advisory business, and our results in 2020 establish us as a clear leader in the space regardless of how a company comes to market,” said Tom Ryan, CEO of ICR.

ICR is the only firm that provides transaction advisory services that combines equity capital markets professionals with industry-focused teams that integrate with sector experts in investor relations and strategic public relations.

“Issuers and sponsors are demanding a more robust advisory solution, one that crafts the narrative and correctly positions the company prior to the transaction execution process. This can only be done by integrating expert transaction advisory with investor communications, media strategy, and ESG insights on one platform,” said Don Duffy, President of ICR.

ICR Capital significantly expanded its team over the course of the year to meet the increasing demand for its services and capitalize on the growing market opportunity. Additions included ECM veterans Steve Parish and Lee Stettner, who serve as Co-Heads of the advisory group. The ICR Capital team has also been bolstered by the addition of three Managing Directors, Patrick Hanraty, Lindsay Hyde and Niren Nazareth. Patrick joined ICR from Solebury Capital, Lindsay Hyde spent over a decade in equity and debt capital markets at Barclays, and Niren was formerly in capital markets and convertible and SPAC trading at Deutsche Bank.

ICR employs a proprietary, three-phased approach to advising management teams around IPOs and other transactions, which includes the full range of necessary capital markets and communications support under the umbrella of a single, integrated service provider. This process commences up to two years in advance of a transaction, extends through transaction launch, marketing and listing day, and, importantly, continues after the transition to ongoing operation as a public company.
