ICR is pleased to welcome Jeff Marwil as Senior Consultant to the firm’s Transformation, Restructuring & Bankruptcy Group. With decades of experience as a lawyer guiding companies, creditors, investors and other interested parties through complex corporate restructurings, bankruptcies and workouts, Mr. Marwil is widely recognized for his abilities in assisting clients to understand and overcome financial and operational challenges.

ICR’s Transformation, Restructuring & Bankruptcy Group provides clients with comprehensive strategic communications around a range of corporate events including workouts, turnarounds, restructuring, bankruptcies, winddowns and liquidations that require dedicated teams of experts to help inform, educate and persuade key stakeholders to achieve critical company objectives.

With his decades of experience in the distressed marketplace counseling public and private companies, their lenders, creditors, investors and others, the addition of Mr. Marwil will complement the existing Transformation, Restructuring & Bankruptcy team and strengthen its ability to provide premier communications advisory services to companies in distress and needing a full menu of communications strategies to address multiple stakeholders’ concerns, as well as, ICR’s client base of more than 1,000 public and private companies.

Mr. Marwil has over 37 years of experience in the bankruptcy and restructuring profession, having most recently served as a partner at Proskauer, where he was U.S. co-head of the Firm’s Business Solutions, Governance, Restructuring & Bankruptcy Group and head of the Chicago office. Prior to that, he held leadership positions in the restructuring groups of several other AmLaw 200 law firms. Mr. Marwil earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan and a law degree from DePaul University College of Law and was admitted to the bar in Illinois.
