ICR and Consilium have been joint-venture partners for almost a decade and have a complementary fit in international healthcare PR and IR advisory work, and now, an even broader range of capabilities.
Over the past 10 years we have worked hard to build Consilium into Europe’s leading independent strategic communications agency for the healthcare sector, with the sole purpose of delivering the best service for our clients around the world.
I am extremely excited by our next phase of growth, under the newly announced ownership of ICR (see the press release that we issued today), and the expanded opportunities this offers, particularly in the US, to our clients and colleagues. ICR and Consilium have been joint-venture partners for almost a decade and have a complementary fit in international healthcare PR and IR advisory work, and now, an even broader range of capabilities. Over the years of working together, we have shared many clients and delivered fantastic and seamless benefits, as well as forming a strong relationship with each other. Now is the right time to deepen this relationship, coinciding I hope with the continued re-opening of capital markets, and we are looking forward to a future together as part of the larger group.
ICR is one of the largest and most experienced independent strategic communications and advisory firms in North America with offices in New York, Norwalk, Boston, Baltimore, San Jose and Beijing. ICR has acquired 100% of the equity of Consilium.
I founded Consilium in 2013 following a management buy-out and set the firm up just over 10 years ago with Amber Fennell and a group of colleagues. I am extremely proud of what we have achieved as a team – now more than 45 strong – and for the excellent advice and service we provide to our clients. We advise many of the world’s most innovative and leading healthcare companies, specialist healthcare funds and leading charities, on their investor relations and strategic communications strategies as well as their corporate reputations. Thank you to our clients and colleagues, past and present, and fellow advisors, for all the trust and support.
Aside from our name and logo changing to ICR Consilium, and our clients being able to access many more services through ICR, we will be business as usual. Importantly, for everyone to know, I will continue to lead the firm and our team. Our management team will remain the same, there will be no changes to our level of advice, personal touch and service to clients. ICR share our culture and vision for growth and I am thrilled that our whole team now has so many opportunities in front of them – all part of what I see as all of our career adventure! I am also delighted that we have been able to share our success as a team in the rewards of this deal and that ICR is as keen to incentivise our team as much as we always have been.
As capital markets continue to show signs of recovering, and the US capital markets continue to remain essential to most of the businesses we represent, ICR is the integral key to our continued business growth, providing service expansion for our clients.
We want to do more with US media, digital and design, to name but a few activities. We also want to continue to work more globally, as has always been our ambition. By cementing our relationship with ICR, we can now make bold plans for our next 10 years and beyond, with adventures ahead and much excitement.
We have been considering for some time what the right US partner for Consilium would look like. Sitting right under our noses was our long-term JV partner, ICR. We have highly complementary skills and cultures, and I really believe that we can do great things together by expanding our partnership on behalf of our clients.
