Anton Nicholas

Managing Partner

Anton Nicholas has over 20 years of communications experience advising C-level executives, directors and board members on high-level strategic programs with the financial community, media and other key constituents.

As a Partner in ICR’s Public Relations practice, Mr. Nicholas oversees several of the firm’s corporate communications industry verticals, including retail and apparel, restaurants, food and beverage, healthy living and clean-tech. In addition, Mr. Nicholas oversees the firm’s consumer and brand public relations practice, the ICR Lifestyle Lab.

Throughout his career, Mr. Nicholas has helped both public and private companies, such as Alcon, Gulfstream, J. Crew, Canada Goose, Roark Capital, Denny’s, Cuervo, and Olo, implement long-term strategic communications programs to support a wide-range of corporate, financial and consumer objectives. Additionally, he has advised on dozens of IPOs over the years, including Wingstop, Fogo de Chão, Planet Fitness, PetIQ, Keane Group, Materialise and Zoes Kitchen.

Mr. Nicholas has helped clients manage a wide-range of complex issues and crisis situations including short reports, litigation support, data breach incidents, executive transitions, bankruptcy, product recalls, industrial accidents, malfeasance, employee violence and regulatory investigations. Additionally, as co-head of the firm’s transactions and special situations group, Mr. Nicholas helps clients manage complex transactions including M&A activity and shareholder activism.

Prior to ICR, Mr. Nicholas held senior positions at leading U.S. and international communications firms, including his own independent advisory firm. He joined ICR as a Managing Director in 2012 from Sloane & Company, where he was a Managing Director and Partner. Prior to Sloane & Company, Mr. Nicholas served as the Chief Executive Officer of Financial Dynamics International’s (now FTI Consulting) North American operations, having previously co- led the firm’s international special assignments group. He holds a B.A. from the University of Richmond and an M.A. from Brown University.
