With 20+ years of experience equally divided between strategic communications and Wall Street research analysis, Joe has developed a broad understanding of the demands on both public and private companies from various vantage points. The Retail & Consumer Group, which Joe heads, is comprised of a team of equally-seasoned professionals who work with approximately 75 leading companies. Joe also co-heads ICR’s Internet and Ecommerce Group.
Joe and his team benefit from a wide range of relationships and experiences. They have worked with all major investment banks on more than 20 IPOs; and in addition to transaction and investor relations advisory, Joe has leveraged his capital markets and communications background across high-profile activist situations, M&A transactions, numerous executive transitions and other special situations. Joe also works closely with ICR’s Corporate Communications and Public Relations teams to develop programs that elevate corporate reputations and drive long-term enterprise value.
Prior to joining ICR, Joe spent ten years on Wall Street as a research analyst. From 2001 to 2006, he was Managing Director and Senior Retail Analyst at Wachovia Securities. During Joe’s tenure in research, he was a four-time Wall Street Journal All-Star Analyst and worked on equity underwritings for a number of leading companies including Under Armour, J. Crew, and Zumiez.
