Over the last fifteen years, Melissa’s experience is based on a solid foundation of knowledge through her equity trading and sell-side research background with a focus on capital markets and transactions. Given her professional training and CFA certification, Melissa is instrumental in advising and developing the appropriate go to market strategy and best position a company for a successful transaction including Special Purchase Acquisition Companies (SPACs). Melissa joined ICR in 2015, with experience across multiple sectors including Consumer, Technology and Industrials.
Melissa’s experience has been concentrated primarily in analyzing company specific earnings results, relative valuation versus the competitive sector, as well as analyzing industry trends to determine the financial health and growth potential for the market. She has hands-on experience for how the stock market interprets financial results, economic trends, and the impact on company share prices and investor sentiment. Melissa has developed strong relationships with many corporate management teams, research analysts, and institutional investors.
Prior to joining ICR, Melissa spent four years as a sell-side research analyst covering the Consumer sector, most recently at Telsey Advisory Group and at Lazard Capital Markets. While at Lazard Capital Markets, Melissa spent 6 years as a market-maker on the equity desk trading Consumer, Industrials, and Healthcare. She started her career working on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange for an independent broker. Melissa is a CFA charterholder and graduated with a B.S. in Finance from Penn State University.
