Sukaina Virji, PhD

Suki joined Consilium in 2017 after more than 15 years as a specialist biopharma journalist. During her journalism career, she reported on all aspects of the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medtech sectors, including M&A, R&D, financings and regulatory updates, interviewing global leaders and attending conferences worldwide. Suki holds a PhD in Biochemistry from UCL, where she also completed a postdoc position, and has worked in research labs in the US and UK.

Suki is proud of embracing a new career in her 40s, but what hasn’t changed is that she still spends most of her spare time taxiing young people around.
