Bradley Burgess provides senior counsel at ICR in Asia as a seasoned public affairs and corporate communications expert and experienced leader. He has helped top Asia brands succeed on the global stage, and aided global brands navigating the China and larger Asia markets, by promoting and protecting their reputations across industries including e-commerce, technology, biotechnology, export trade, food and beverage, government ministries, and others.
Brad partners with clients as a senior extension of their team, providing counsel and support for global reputation management work. He previously was the head of international corporate affairs for JD.com, where he helped manage the brand of China’s largest online retailer, as well as managing communications with global stakeholders. Before this, he held leadership roles in various public relations consulting firms where he specialized in corporate reputation, executive communications and coaching, and global communications. In this capacity, he helped a breadth of clients in numerous cross-market campaigns.
An American residing in China for nearly two decades, Brad is literate in Chinese, and provides a unique perspective on China and the world. Brad received a BA in International Relations and a BA in East Asian Languages and Cultures from Michigan State University in the US and an MA in International Public Relations from Cardiff University in the UK.
