David serves as a Senior Vice President in ICR’s Technology Group after spending over 20 years on the buy-side.  David’s focus will include all aspects of investor relations while helping expand the technology practice.

Before joining ICR, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager and Director at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas.  At TRS, David managed a $2 billion concentrated Small and Mid Cap equity portfolio that was heavily exposed to technology and internet-related companies.  He provided insight to C-level executives on issues of strategic import, including capital allocation, capital structure and executive compensation as his portfolio was often among the 10 largest investors in any given position. Throughout his career, he participated in dozens of IPOs and numerous late-stage private and pre-IPO transactions.

Prior to receiving his MBA, David was a research analyst and fixed income trader at an institutional investment advisor.

David holds an MBA and a BBA, both in Finance, from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.  He has also earned both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations.
